GENEVIEVE NNAJI’S NAME DISAPPEARS FROM AVENGERS CAST LIST

It seems like someone is clearly messing with Nigerians.

First, Nollywood actress, Funke Akindeles Name disappeared from the cast list of the superhero movie, 'Avengers: Infinity War' and was replaced with Genevieve Nnaji. But now, both Funke and Genevieve names have been removed from the Marvel Universe.

Akindele was to play a member of the Dora Milaje, a team of women who serve as personal bodyguards of the Black Panther, the spiritual leader of Wakanda.

However, a double check on the Marvel’s official website revealed that Funke’s name had been deleted from the cast list and replaced with Genevieve Nnaji to play the same role, Dora Milaje.

And yet again, Nnaji’s name has also been removed from the cast list. Well, reports now reveal that the story was a hoax and that a hacker put those names on the list.

If this was a publicity stunt by Marvel to win over Nigerian audiences, it really was not necessary, because many of us had already marked May 4, 2018 on our calendars even before all the false news.

So who’s messing with Nigerians?
